Threads of Strength

A Gentle Sewing & Wellbeing Group

A calm, creative space for women to slow down, learn new skills, and feel part of something meaningful.

Threads of Strength is a free weekly sewing and textile craft group based in our Liverpool studio, designed for women who may be living with mental health challenges, neurodivergence (diagnosed or undiagnosed), grief, trauma, or long-term isolation, and who are currently not economically active.

This is a space where you can simply come as you are.

No pressure. No expectations. No experience needed.

What to Expect:

Each session runs for two hours and offers a gentle, supportive environment where you can learn practical sewing and textile skills at your own pace.

You might make craft items, explore upcycling or contribute to charity projects. We will use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques. We will explore crafts such as crochet, macrame and more.

There is absolutely no pressure to finish anything, and no requirement to attend every week. You are welcome to book onto as many or as few sessions as you like.

Who This Is For:

This group is designed for women who may be experiencing any of the below and have been economically inactive for 6+ months.

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Neurodivergence (diagnosed or undiagnosed)

  • Bereavement or significant life loss

  • Trauma, including CPTSD
