Throughout the session, you’ll be guided step-by-step as you design and construct your own pieces, from sleek going-out purses to compact makeup pouches ideal for travel. Along the way, you’ll build confidence working with structure, shape, and finishing techniques that give your projects a professional feel.

You’ll learn: How to insert zips with accuracy, attach clips and hardware, and work with a variety of fabrics including cotton, canvas, vinyl, and even leather. This mix of materials allows you to explore different textures and finishes, helping you understand how to choose the right fabric for each design.

The class takes place in a relaxed, supportive studio environment where everything is prepared for you. All equipment and materials are provided, so you can focus fully on creating, learning, and enjoying the process. There’s plenty of guidance on hand, along with time to practise and refine your technique at your own pace.

By the end of the session: You’ll leave with completed pieces you can be proud of, along with the skills and confidence to continue making more at home. This class is ideal if: You’ve already completed our Intro to Sewing course or feel confident setting up and using a sewing machine independently, as the focus is on construction and technique rather than machine basics.
